Binsted Recreation Ground

Come and join in the fun at Binsted's Annual Fete and Flower Show on Saturday 23rd July 2011 from 2pm.  It's a traditional summer fete, held in the heart of the village (Binsted Recreation Ground opposite the Cedars public house) but you get more than simply a Fete - with the Flower Show, Photography and Pet Dog show all at the same time!  

This year, our theme is "flower power" - celebrating the beautiful range of English flowers available in the countryside...combined with a "throwback" to "flower power" of yester-year! There will be a range of traditional horticultural and domestic produce classes and our traditional photography classes - all including special themes in line with Flower Power. There's a host of additional entertainment options, from the pet dog show, hoopla, skittles, farm animals and children's sports to the more traditional Punch and Judy, family teas, Grand Draw and Auction of Promises. 

And in the evening there will be a traditional Barn Dance with a Hog Roast and Bar (organised by Friends of Binsted School), again, held on the Recreation Ground, to round off the celebrations.  Tickets (£12 for adults, £5 for children, under 5’s free) are now available from the Cedars, Binsted School Office - or Jacquie Riddell (07909 920158)
